Visual Explainers

These “explainer graphics” for the Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York City explain various parts of their advanced digital media infrastructure. Two of these illustrations are intended to help public understanding (the first two shown below). The other two are for internal use with museum staff and funders.

I created these “visual how-to’s” for the Crafty Bastards Festival in Washington, DC. They were printed in newspaper format and distributed to festival-goers.

Nina Kraus’ neuroscience lab at Northwestern University studies many interesting topics. The lab uses these illustrations on their website, in presentations, and on grant proposals to help explain and visualize the breadth of their research in a lighthearted way.

Another how-to for a salve-making workshop by Jean Willoughby.
